Are my images uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
What font do memes use?
The classic look is white Impact-style capitals with a black outline. We use Anton, a free font that looks the same, so it works on every device. A cleaner Arial Black option is there too.
My text is too long. What happens?
Text wraps onto more lines and shrinks to fit its box, so it never runs off the picture. Make a box bigger with the Text size slider.
Can I use meme templates?
Pick a layout instead: Classic (text on the picture), Caption above or Caption below (black text on a white bar, the style common on social media), or Poster (a framed picture with a big title). Then upload any image you have the right to use. Popular meme pictures are usually copyrighted photos or film stills, so we don't host them.
