Questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your PDFs never leave your device and nobody else can see them.
Why would I remove metadata?
PDFs can carry the author's name, the company's software and when the file was made. Removing them stops that information going out with a file you share.
What happens to XMP metadata?
Some PDFs keep a second copy of their details in XMP, which many readers show first. When you edit or remove details, that old copy is removed too, so every reader shows the same information. The tool tells you when this happens.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
A PDF that needs a password to open, or that blocks editing, is refused with a message instead of producing a broken file. If you know the password, remove it with Unlock PDF first, then add the unlocked file here.
