Questions
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing you type or open is uploaded, logged or saved. Your settings are remembered on this device; your text isn't.
Will it change my text content?
Whitespace between tags is re-indented. Text inside elements that also contain text, and anything under xml:space="preserve", is left exactly as it was. Entities like ' may be written as the character they stand for, which means the same thing to any XML parser.
Does it check against a schema or DTD?
No. It checks that the XML is well-formed: tags close in order, attributes are quoted and there is one root element. Documents with an inline DTD aren't supported.
